The Apportioned Funds
When you give to your local United Methodist church, part of your offering goes beyond your congregation to support important ministries and mission work across the country and around the world. This shared giving, called "apportioned giving," allows United Methodists everywhere to work together to care for others and spread hope where it's needed most.
Generosity unites us in impact and is how we live out our faith to make a real difference. United in impact, we do more together than we ever could alone.

This apportionment fund provides basic financial support to general agencies, which are critical to the vision, mission, and ministry of The United Methodist Church.

This fund was created in response to the growth of the UMC in Africa and the need for higher education to address emerging social, economic, and political challenges.

This fund was established in 1972 to support historically Black colleges and universities, ensuring students of all backgrounds have access to quality education.

This fund has been part of the church’s financial plan since the Methodist Church united in 1939 to cover the costs of important church gatherings, financial oversight, historic preservation, and other essential work.

This fund supports The United Methodist Church’s participation in ecumenical partnersthips, working together with other Christian groups to make a global impact.
