The Council of Bishops of The United Methodist Church will have a one-day virtual meeting of the more than 150 active and retired bishops on February 18, 2021 at 9 a.m. Eastern Time.

The use of technology and the travel restrictions have given the bishops opportunities to meet more often than the usual twice-a-year-in-person meetings.

The February 18 meeting will discuss the current situation of the global denomination and to reflect on the mission and ministry of the church in the wake of the global pandemic that has affected many aspects of the church and community life.

The bishops still plan to have a five-day meeting in the week of April 26-30 for the April/May COB meeting.
