What is Men’s Ministry Sunday?
Men’s Ministry Sunday is one of five Awareness Special Sundays that highlight ministries and causes important to the entire United Methodist Church. On this day, we celebrate the spiritual growth, service, and leadership of men in The United Methodist Church. It affirms their role as disciples, mentors, and servants in both church and community life.
Why Does It Matter?
This Sunday highlights the importance of men’s spiritual development and their contribution to the mission of the church. It encourages men to live out their faith with integrity, courage, and compassion in all areas of life.
Men’s Ministry Sunday matters because it celebrates the God-given gifts, leadership, and faithful service of men within the church and in the world.
When is Men’s Ministry Sunday Celebrated?
Men’s Ministry Sunday is often observed on a locally designated Sunday, sometimes during June (Father’s Day) or another time chosen by the congregation or conference.
How Can I Be Part of the Ministry?
You can get involved by joining or forming a men’s group, leading service projects, mentoring youth, or simply showing up for others in faith and love. All are encouraged to celebrate men’s contributions in worship and invite more men into deeper discipleship. Read stories and articles about the power of women [here].
