Called to Preach is for laity and clergy who are striving to build their preaching skills. It is a two-week course that provides learning and practice with specific sermon structures, research resources for sermon content, and the opportunity to present a sermon, all in a safe space for practicing skills. The course requires using Assignments and Discussion Boards in Blackboard. In addition to those daily Blackboard interactions, two required Zoom meetings will be held on Friday from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (Eastern). This course session will be led by instructor Beth Perry. This course has been approved by Discipleship Ministries as an advanced Lay Servant Ministries course, but it is not limited to those needing LSM credit.
