Pitts Theology Library on the campus of Candler School of Theology, Emory University teaches us about who we are, by showing us so much of those who have gone before us. Their exhibition hall and collection of Wesleyan artifacts highlight our history.
Script:
Candler School of Theology's library is more than a place to study. An exhibition gallery and Wesleyan artifacts invite us to explore our history. A letter from John Wesley to his mother Susanna; John Wesley's diary from his time in Savannah, Georgia; Charles Wesley's notes in the back of a notebook; an undated letter from Peter Böhler to George Whitefield; and one of the Wesleys' first hymnals (1742), Hymns & Sacred Poems, teach us about who we are today. Great for students, confirmation classes, and church groups of all ages.
