Glossary: landmarks

Those locations of historical importance to The United Methodist Church on which structures or monuments are in ruins or no longer remain. Had structures remained, these landmarks would qualify as historic shrines. A location is designated a historic landmark by the General Conference upon recommendation of the General Commission on Archives and History.
