This week, United Methodist Communications is inviting church members across the country to visit the redesigned UMC.org, the Web site of the people of The United Methodist Church.
This new Web site is a clearinghouse for all things United Methodist. You can read the latest church news, find inspiration in others’ stories of faith, research local volunteer opportunities, discover how to use your spiritual gifts, and much more. I think the best part of the new UMC.org, though, is the “Community” social networking feature where you may connect with other United Methodists and people of faith from around the world.
You can use this Community feature to stay in touch with other members of this congregation between services, meet other United Methodists who share your interests, and participate in a global dialogue on faith. You can access all these incredible resources from your own home computer 24 hours a day.
The new UMC.org is expanding the reach of The United Methodist Church in the 21st century. Everyone is invited to visit the Web site and discover this new way to be a part of the global United Methodist community.
