The gathering of Jesus and the twelve disciples in the Upper Room on the Thursday of Jesus' final week in Jerusalem. It was in the course of this evening that the final or last supper of Jesus with the disciples was eaten. It is celebrated in the Christian church for the institution of the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper.
