Personal & Family

- All persons are important and valued because they are human beings created by God. We support, encourage and foster nurturing communities where all persons are treated with love and respect and allowed to grow and thrive.
Social & Cultural

- The United Methodist Church has a long history of concern for social justice. We are at work in the world helping the poor, the orphaned, the aging, the oppressed and the imprisoned.
Political & Economic

- We believe all economic and political systems are ultimately under the rule of God. The role of government is to protect freedom and guarantee the rights of people to adequate food, clothing and education. The world's wealth should be shared equitably so that no person is in economic distress.
Spiritual & Theological

- Simply put, theology means the study of God (theos). The way we think about God, the way we talk about God and what we believe about God are all part of our theology. As Christians, it is our responsibility and privilege to engage in thoughtful reflection about God, our faith and our growth as disciples.
Church & Ministry

- All Christians are called by God, through their baptism, to be in ministry and service to the world. Ordained and licensed clergy are called to specific ministry tasks within the church. Lay persons are also called to engage in God's work in the church as well as in the world.
