Geneseo United Methodist Church is a rural, vibrant congregation on a mission with Jesus to grow in faith and make a difference in our world.

Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. At Geneseo UMC, we describe this mission in a way that honors and reflects our rural heritage: Plant. It is important to “come and see” what’s going on at our church through worship and a warm welcome. Sowing the seeds of faith does not end there, because Jesus challenges us to let our love flow from us to our friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors in everything we say and do. Grow. God’s spirit powerfully transforms us through individual and practices like prayer and reflection as well as through community. We are dedicated to Sunday school and small groups that are Biblically-grounded, thought-provoking, and formative learning for all ages to help mature our faith and become more like Jesus. Share. Our circle of faith is not complete until those who are being transformed by grace can reach out in love and service. It’s our privilege to serve in our community, our nation, and our world as we follow Jesus’ command to provide food, shelter, companionship, and care for one another and for the most vulnerable in our midst and beyond. We are constantly looking for ways that we can improve our ministry in each of these areas and we desire to do our best in order to honor the Great Commission of Christ, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.” Matt. 28:19-20
