This course equips and encourages participants, through course texts, discussions, and case studies, to care for our returned and returning veterans and their loved ones. It will explore the many perspectives of military service: our nation’s most recent wars, veterans and their loved ones, combat and peacetime, reserve component and active duty. You’ll participate in sessions implementing course material with open minds, listening ears, and compassionate conversations. Your instructor is a Desert Storm combat veteran and has 21 years of experience as a local pastor. He has seen and experienced the challenges persons in the military face as they are reintegrated into civilian life. You will benefit from his in-depth knowledge of the military system, and will look at the various services available to make the post-military transition less daunting.
