If you’re a campus minister, chances are good that you already focus on vocational discernment in your work with young people. So why would you want more training around Call? This course covers so much more than call discernment. It helps you as a campus minister reach out and make connections with others to create a support network that can help you reach your fundraising goals. It helps you strengthen connections with area churches and Christian camps to provide an entire network of support and faith-related opportunities to students. And it helps you connect to the resources that tackle the issues students are most interested in right now, whether that’s social justice, anti-racism, or mental health. And yes, it will also help you articulate to your students how call discernment is different from vocational discernment. It will also provide you with discernment resources to help them recognize and understand experiences of Call. In this workshop, you’ll collaborate with peers from other campus ministries on creative ways to help students discern and respond to God’s call while utilizing and expanding your network. There will be two optional video chats during the course (evenings) which may include participants in the camping ministry course. We plan to hold these meetings at 9:30 PM EST during a weeknight to help those in other time zones but will do an initial poll to establish availability.
