Photography is a large part of our culture. One look at social media will tell you that people document their lives and activities via the camera in their cellphone or tablet. How can we use photography to broaden and deepen opportunities for ministry? We will explore the many facets of ministry through paying attention to the visual aspects of our individual and group lives. This course gives us all a way of observing new aspects of serving and caring. We will explore multiple ways to enhance meetings, prayer, discussions, spiritual growth, activities and much more through the use of photographs and photography. This class, taught by Val Isenhower, photographer and ordained minister, will use a combination of the discussion board and a class blog to share ideas and photos. Any type of camera will work, although digital cameras will make uploading pictures easier. The course is based on the book "Meditation on Both Sides of the Camera," by Valerie K. Isenhower. The book may be helpful to you, but it is not required for this course. This course is eligible for 1.0 CEU.
