Welcome

Welcome, and thanks for your interest in Mount Carmel United Methodist. We believe that we are called to be the hands and feet of Christ in the Oregon Hill community. That belief shapes everything we do, from our worship on Sunday mornings. We find that when we express God’s love in the community around us, we experience God’s love in a deeper way. That experience binds us together as a body.

Mt. Carmel is a rural community full of friendly, generous people. We love people to visit us, and welcome strangers who are not just like us. We want to be able to reach out to all people, not just those who look like us. We hope you’ll visit and experience it for yourself. We’ve been in ministry to all God's children since 1775 —- in the heart of the Oregon Hill community.

What To Expect

Sunday Services
Sunday School starts at 10 am and Sunday Worship Service at 11:00am more traditional but a good blend, with a set order of worship and the hymns of the United Methodist church.

Arriving
We have plenty of Sunday school class for you to get involved with. From our Nursery, to Pre-K to 2nd grade,3rd grade to 5th grade, 6th grade to 12th grade we also have a 20's to 40's class and 3 Older Adult class and Old er young Ladies class.

Come As You Are
Dress however you like. At Mount Carmel you’ll see blue jeans and three-piece suits alike.

Bring the Kids
We provide a nursery for children under the age of five. A children’s sermon is incorporated into the 11:00 worship service. There is a separate children’s church every Sunday.
