Our gifts

The United Methodist Women annually collect baby blankets for the area hospital, which are given to mothers who do not have the financial means to buy new ones for their babies, and also organize the Christmas Family project, when we contribute gifts and food to two area families in need. The group also remembers older and shut-in members with “love bags” twice a year, and financially supports Friendship House in Middlesex, as well as serving four dinners for the Rushville Lions Club each year.

Council on Ministries organizes the Christmas Collection for the Red Bird Mission. The Council also sends cookie boxes to our college students twice a year, and organizes meals to be taken to older and shut-in members. Our Spring Mission Project benefits a different project each year, with past recipients including  Little Dresses for Africa and Family Promise 

Our annual Blueberry Pancake Breakfast in August give our members the opportunity to work together to complete a task, and to raise money for our operating expenses and for missions. We invite you to become a part of this vital and energetic “body of Christ.”
