Finding Our Way: Love and Law in The United Methodist Church Webcast
The Connectional Table’s Human Sexuality Task Force hosted the second of three live stream events on Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. CT.
Panelists were members of the Council of Bishops who contributed to the book, Finding Our Way: Love and Law in The United Methodist Church, as well as the Editor and President of United Methodist Publishing House, Neil Alexander.
Bishops Hope Morgan Ward, Melvin G. Talbert, Kenneth H. Carter, Michael J. Lowry, John K. Yambasu and Rosemarie Wenner discussed their perspectives on human sexuality based upon their chapter in the book. Viewers were encouraged to read the book prior to the live stream discussion. United Methodist leaders were also encouraged to gather church members for viewing and joining the discussion. Resources can be found at www.umc.org/homosexuality.
The Connectional Table invites anyone who is interested in the topic to participate via Twitter by using the hashtag #CTtalks.
