Audun Westad: Planning General Conference for a Global Church
Nearly 1,000 delegates meet every four years at the United Methodist General Conference. They are elected in the U.S. and in seven Central Conferences: Africa, Central and Southern Europe, Congo, Germany, Northern Europe, Philippines, and West Africa.
A 25-member Commission representing this global church spends years planning the meetings and works hard to be sure all participants have an equal chance to gather information and share their opinions. In this behind-the-scenes video, we meet Audun Westad of Norway, a member of the Committee.
