“IMAGINE NO MALARIA” — Shouted by 51 participants at the start of our 5K Run/Walk in support of this initiative.

“Be faithful in our wilderness.” — In Bishop Grant Hagiya’s sermon he stressed that our response to declining numbers and a changing culture is to be faithful to God.

Outgoing Superintendent, Dave Beckett talked about setting the “bar” high enough to be faithful to our ministry settings and to our God.

Main actions enacted and resolutions adopted by the conference:

We welcomed in a new Conference Superintendent, the Rev. Carlo Rapanut.

We celebrated the efforts of conference on behalf of Imagine No Malaria and participated in a 5K fundraiser, dinners and a “step challenge” in support of the cause.

Clergy statistics (number and average age for each group):The Alaska Conference, as a Missionary Conference, does not have conference membership.  We do, however have local pastors, who are members of the conference in which they serve.
