Zimbabwe

United Methodist retired pastors and surviving spouses in Zimbabwe depend upon family, friends or creative small businesses for their daily food because they do not receive any pension funds. The economic situation in Zimbabwe changes daily, and hyperinflation has resulted in a valueless currency. The United Methodist Church's top legislative body has launched an effort called the Central Conference Pension Initiative to ensure retirees and surviving spouses retire with dignity and hope.

For more information on how to get involved, go to ccpi.umc.org or email ccpi@gbophb.org. Donations can be made online or by calling 847-866-4230.
