Transportation

Fort Worth is 17.5 miles from the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport which serves about 1,900 fights daily. Greeters will be stationed at baggage pickup areas around the airport and can direct visitors to their transportation choices. They include:

• DFW Airport’s new Rental Car Facilities, located just south of the airport’s south toll plaza, consolidates all present and future rental car companies into one location. Look for the Rental Car pick up signs in your airline terminal, and take the Rental Car bus to your specific rental service company.
• Yellow Checker Shuttle (817-267-5150) provides service to and from DFW Airport to all major downtown Fort Worth hotels between 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. The cost is $15* per person one way. Other services include:

• The “T” ground transportation services operates in the downtown area from 6:15 a.m. to 9:15 p.m. daily. The Fort Worth T offers free step on transportation throughout the downtown area. The Free Zone is bounded by the following streets: Henderson, Jones, Belknap and Lancaster. Buses run approximately 15 to 30 minutes apart.
• The “T” city bus ground transportation to outlying visitor attraction area include:
  • Route 1 – Historic Stockyards – Northbound
    $1.25 fare each way
    Transportation from ITC and downtown to the Stockyard Historic District
    Runs every 15 minutes Mon-Sat, every hour on Sunday
  • Route 2 — Camp Bowie/Museums
    $1.25 fare each way
    Transportation from ITC and Sundance Square to the museums on Camp Bowie
    and Ridgmar Mall
    Runs every 15 minutes Mon-Fri, every 30 minutes on Sat, hourly on Sun
  • Route 7 — Cultural District/Zoo
    $1.25 fare each way
    Transportation from ITC and downtown to the Cultural District, museums and zoo
    Runs every 30 minutes Mon-Sat, every hour on Sunday
  • Route 18 — Fort Worth Zoo “Safari Shuttle” (green trolley)
    $1.25 fare each way
    Transportation from ITC, Fort Worth Zoo and Will Rogers Center Visitor Center
    Runs every 30 minutes
  • Route 15 — Historic Stockyards (green trolley)
    $1.25 fare each way / Saturday service only
    Transportation from ITC, Sundance Square and downtown to the Historic Stockyards Visitor Center

• Trinity Railway Express
  Provides transportation to Dallas, mid-cities and Irving from downtown Fort Worth
  Train departs from ITC and T&P stations
