After more than two years of development, United Methodist Communications is proud to share with you that the new UMC.org, the Web site of the people of The United Methodist Church, is up and running.
The redesign of this Web site has been an enormous undertaking, bringing together the latest technologies, feedback from church members, and the considerable talents of many at United Methodist Communications and throughout the denomination.
With the official launch still a few weeks away, we are inviting you to be among the first to take a sneak peek at the many new features and resources available at UMC.org.
The new site will enable church leaders to conduct a broad search of resources through the new MethoPedia (United Methodist encyclopedia), register a congregation’s needs for volunteer workers, and help seekers find a church in their community.
Church members will find unique tools for discovering their spiritual gifts, identify volunteer opportunities and connecting with people of faith around the world through the new social network at UMC.org Community.
While UMC.org has a new look and new navigation, the site is still in transition. For an extended period of time, we will be moving thousands of resources and stories to the new Web site. In many cases, you won't see the differences, but from time to time, you will run across a page that hasn't been updated. We ask for your patience and support during this period.
