NASHVILLE, Tenn. (UMNS) - The Nov. 10 decision by The United Methodist Church's top court to reinstate Bishop W. Earl Bledsoe and reverse his involuntary retirement has church leaders still trying to determine what happens next. One bishop described the situation as "new ground."

Young adult ministry director named

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (UMNS) -The Rev. James "Trip" Lowery III, senior pastor of Wendell United Methodist Church in North Carolina, has been appointed as the director of young adult ministry discernment and enlistment for the United Methodist Board of Higher Education and Ministry's Division of Ordained Ministry, effective Jan. 7, 2013.
