Today is Ecumenical Day set aside to recognize the United Methodist Church’s commitment to ecumenism. Some ecumenical guests have already arrived and others are arriving today to participate in today’s Ecumenical day events.

Ecumenical guests will participate in the celebration of Pan-Methodist Full Communion – the full communion of the United Methodist Church with the other five Pan-Methodist denominations. They will also gather for dinner which is sponsored by the Council of Bishops, the General Commission on Christian unity and Interreligious Concerns, and the General Commission General Conference.

Ecumenical guests will be introduced at the evening plenary at 7:30 p.m. tonight. We will hear response from a few distinguished guests followed by evening worship with Rev. Dr. Olav Fykse Tveit, General Secretary of the World Council of Churches.

Please welcome our Ecumenical guests with open arms and open hearts!
