GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION Church Office Manager is an essential ministry of the church. As the first line of contact for visitors and members, whether by phone or in person, the Secretary is a reflection of the church, and is therefore an important part of the church's public image and outreach. Discretion, a positive attitude, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent interpersonal skills are critical qualifications for anyone occupying this position. 

The successful candidate will run the church office, handle administrative responsibilities, and provide a wide range of support to the pastor and staff, as well as the Church Council and Ministries of the church. 

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

General Secretarial duties which include a range of office-related tasks, such as answering phones, receiving visitors, general correspondence, ordering supplies, managing the church schedule, calendar, scheduling of maintenance, service calls and deliveries.

 

Production of the Weekly Order of Service Bulletin and the Monthly Informer.

 

Support Pastor and other Staff Members, produce the Church Directory, and scheduling oversight for access to the church facilities and resources. 

 

Social Media footprint creation / updating and website maintenance

 

Also to include other clerical responsibilities as needed.
