Kitchen Cook/Hospitality Team Member

About us: We are a busy, fast paced, environment daily serving our full time preschool, Respite Ministry, church program staff, and congregation.

This job opening is for full time with some weekends and holidays.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must have experience with cooking from scratch
Must be knowledgeable in food sanitation guidelines
Able to operate and clean kitchen equipment as needed
Ability to serve food and beverages in a dining setting

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities/Competencies:
Applicant should have the ability to read and write
Ability to learn new food preparation and cleaning procedures
Ability to perform moderately heavy labor for extended periods of time for example, putting away deliveries, working in the dish room, operating the dish machine, taking out trash.
Ability to maintain high standards of personal cleanliness and food sanitation
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with employees and residents

Physical Requirements Checklist: 
Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, (exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs of force frequently and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects), close visual acuity

We offer a competitive hourly rate of pay with Benefits after a 90 day period of employment.
