The Arkansas Conference of the United Methodist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas is currently accepting applications for Director of the Center for Communication.
Overview: The Director of the Center for Communication is responsible for utilizing technology in creative, innovative and strategic ways to maximize the ability of the Arkansas Annual Conference to communicate with members, congregations and the mission field. He or she will offer direct communication support for the Bishop, oversee the work of the Arkansas Conference Center for Communication, work to develop effective two-way communication systems between the conference and local congregations, lay leaders and clergy, and work with other Centers and conference leadership in crafting and aligning all messaging, communication and marketing.
Qualifications: Serious applicants must have demonstrable skill and knowledge of both current and emerging communication technology, especially social media platforms. They should show evidence of entrepreneurial, strategic and team-oriented leadership and be adept and innovative in a complex, ever-changing environment. Three or more years in organizational communication is preferred. A working knowledge of The United Methodist Church structure, doctrine and polity is important.
