GCFA Announces Launch of Webinar Series
GCFA is proud to announce the launch of our live webinar series for annual conference treasurers, assistant treasurers, and other interested annual conference staff members. This webinar series is in direct response to discussion topics identified during the New Treasurers’ training event held at GCFA last October.
“We are very excited to be able to reach out to and dialogue with all of our annual conference colleagues and friends in new ways. Offering webinars is one more way we can support each other in this ministry of administration. We really look forward to this new avenue for sharing ideas, information, and actions with our colleagues.”
- Bari Beasley, Chief Officer of Marketing and Shared Services
GCFA will begin the series with a webinar discussing the benefits of online registration. A joint webinar presented by Shared Services and Travel and Meeting Planning, this webinar will address how working with an online registration software can save your staff time while saving your conference money. Our Travel and Meeting Planning Manager, Cheryl Akey, will lead this discussion on the benefits of online registration.
Also, at the end of March, our webinar will feature Eric Stevens, from Littler Mendelson P.C., presenting on employment law issues. Throughout the year, we will feature additional webinars on topics such as IT Security and IT Audits with Paul Demastus from LBMC, Property Trust Clause Issues with our GCFA Legal Services Department, and a joint webinar with the General Board of Pension and Health Benefits. Each webinar will last 30 minutes to an hour, and will consist of a presentation followed by an interactive discussion period will all participants.
We look forward to beginning this new avenue of discussion and education. We will post a tentative schedule of the upcoming webinars in the next few weeks on our GCFA website. And, if you have suggestions on items you want to discuss, please don’t hesitate to reach out to GCFA Shared Services with your suggestions.
