Byrd Bonner Elected as Vice Chair of ICCR Board of Directors
Nashville, TN – Byrd Bonner, President of the United Methodist Church Foundation, has been elected by the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility (ICCR) to serve as the Vice Chair of its Board of Directors. Elected to a seat on the Center’s fifteen-member board of directors last year, Bonner chairs its Investment Committee and has chaired its Development Committee.
Currently celebrating its 43rd year, ICCR, headquartered in New York City, is a pioneer coalition of active shareholders who view the management of their investments as a catalyst for change. Its 300 member-organizations with over $100 billion in assets under management have an enduring record of corporate engagement that has demonstrated influence on policies promoting justice and sustainability in the world.
The United Methodist Church Foundation has been an active member of ICCR for more than ten years. Its work with other faith-based organizations through ICCR has facilitated significant changes in corporate behavior of companies it owns in the areas of improved board diversity, increased EEO reporting, the fight against human trafficking and improvements in greenhouse gas emission controls and transparency.
