We are a progressive, intergenerational Christian community in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. We have many different types of ministries: Sunday School for children, a cooperative Youth Group with other north-end churches, small groups and classes for adults, a vibrant choir, an engaging worship service, volunteer opportunities through our Saturday Soup and Sandwich Makers, a Lay Care Team, an active Social Justice Ministry, and so much more.
We are located on the northeast corner of NW 65th Street and 23rd Avenue NW, with a parking lot located on the west side of 23rd about 100 yards north of 65th, as well as angle parking next to the building. On Sunday mornings, both the main Sanctuary entrance on 65th and the office entrance on 23rd (with the stairs) are open. During the week, please use the entrance by the office, which has a call box.
Accessibility is limited due to the age of our building, but if you can find a church member when you arrive, they will help you get to the wheelchair-accessible entrances.
The basic details: Worship starts at 10:30am, and we’re at the corner of 23rd Ave NW and 65th St. It’s a big brick building! You can enter through the back of the sanctuary (the entrance with the big stairs on 65th), or through the side doors on 23rd. If you come in through the side doors, turn right, and go down the stairs into the front of the sanctuary. (This is the way that most regular attendees enter, since it’s closest to the parking lot.)
Transportation and parking: There’s a parking lot across 23rd from the church building, which you are welcome to use. There’s also front-in angle parking along the church side of 23rd and street parking in the neighborhood.
The closest bus stop to the church is at 24th and 65th, just a few blocks to the west of us, served by #40. The D-Line bus runs up 15th, about 8 blocks east of the church, and you can get off at the Ballard High School stop.
What to wear, what to bring, how to prepare:
We are a relatively-casually dressed church most of the time, and there will almost always be more than one person in jeans and a t-shirt. Bring yourself, and if need be, your coffee. Worship is designed to help you get into the mood for worship, so if you have a hard time leaving your worries and stress at the door, that's okay too.

Church can happen anywhere. It happens when we create learning opportunities that transform lives. It happens when we create safe environments where children can play and learn. It happens when education makes the path to citizenship a little easier. And when our sacrifices help nourish students’ minds and bodies. That’s putting beliefs into action.
