Welcome

Cedar Cross stresses the primacy of God's grace in Jesus Christ. We affirm the reality of God in our everyday life through the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe that faith is more than dogmas or assenting to a rational proposition, but is grounded in a relationship to God in Christ. We believe that relationships are primary, that life is interconnected and that we have a responsibility to each other and to the creation.

At Cedar Cross United Methodist Church we may not all believe the same thing, but we believe in God and in each other. If you are searching for something to believe in, Our Hearts, Our Minds and our Doors are Open. Come and join us!

We have two worship services at Cedar Cross: 8:45, we are led by our Cedar Cross Band, while at 11:00, the choir sings, and we have Children's Time at both services.

We are blessed with a great deal of talent at Cedar Cross. We have a classically-trained pianist, a Chancel Choir and BellCanto! our extraordinary bell choir and occasionally we have special music that can be voice, piano, string or brass.

Unlike most United Methodist churches, at Cedar Cross we celebrate communion every Sunday.

Occasionally on High Holy Days we have one Service at 10:00 a.m. These may include Epiphany, Palm Sunday and Pentecost. Our website: www.cedarcrossumc.net would give that information.

Our Order of Worship is as follows: Lighting the Candles Call to Worship Opening Hymn or Song Children's Tim me Choral Anthem, Praise Band, BellCanto! or Special Music Unison Prayer Silent Meditation Prayers of the People Second Hymn or Son Scripture Lessons The Pastor's Message Responsive Hymn or Song Sacrament of Holy Communion Prayer of Great Thanksgiving Benediction and Closing Song

Church can happen anywhere.  It happens when we create learning opportunities that transform lives. It happens when we create safe environments where children can play and learn. It happens when education makes the path to citizenship a little easier. And when our sacrifices help nourish students’ minds and bodies. That’s putting beliefs into action.
