SCREENAGERS Film Viewing The United Methodist Church of the Pines will host a viewing of the nationally acclaimed film SCREENAGERS on February 24th at 1:00 p.m. for youth in grades 4th through 12th and their parents. Many parents and teachers share in the struggles they face at home and school when the average child spends up to 6.5 hours a day looking at screens! Delaney Ruston, physician and film maker, looks at the impact of all of this time spent looking at screens and at the friction occurring in home and schools around negotiating screen time. The film probes into the vulnerable corners of family life to explore struggles over social media, video games, academics and Internet usage by our children. SCREENAGERS shows how tech time impacts kids' development and offers solutions on how adults can empower kids to best navigate the digital world and find balance.
