Are we just automatons, living out the pre-ordained will of God? Or are our lives a collaboration with God as we work together to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the world?

Based on the United Methodist Theologian and Philosopher John B. Cobb, Jr.’s “definitive book on the nature of God,” this course provides a lay person’s introduction to Process-Relational theology, a theological school of thought that emphasizes free will and has broad appeal with the Wesleyan tradition.

In this course, we will work our way through Dr. Cobb’s vision God as proclaimed in the ministry of Jesus and how that vision of God can help us become forces of positive transformation in the world guided by persuasive love. This course is designed as a continuing education course for certified lay ministers, and clergy. Students are required to have access to a copy of Jesus’ Abba: The God Who Has Not Failed by John Cobb.

This course is eligible for 1.0 CEU. Price: $40

***This is an online course, meaning you can participate at the time of day that works best for your schedule. Course materials will become available at Noon Central on the start day, and you should plan to spend an hour or two (whenever you choose) every day interacting with the course and on the discussion boards.***
