Meeting the Other: Can We Talk? In polarizing times, how can we communicate with civility and respect while upholding our core values and religious traditions? At this event, Jewish, Christian and Muslim leaders guide us in learning to talk across differences. Part of the Interfaith Peace Conference at Lake Junaluska, this Friday afternoon special session at UNCA's Lipinsky Auditorium features a musical introduction from Abraham Jam; brief addresses by keynote speakers T. Anthony Spearman, Nancy Fuchs Kreimer and Juliane Hammer; and a panel discussion with feedback questions and responses from the audience. Registration * For individuals not attending the full Interfaith Peace Conference program, the Friday afternoon UNCA special session is available for a fee of $10. * UNCA students can attend the sessions for free; online registration requested. * Those who have already registered for the Interfaith Peace Conference do NOT need special tickets to this event, as the UNCA special sessions are already included in the program fee. To register, visit www.lakejunaluska.com/peace or call 800-222-4930. The Interfaith Peace Conference at Lake Junaluska is an ongoing response to God’s call to peacemaking and reconciliation. Affirming the community of Abrahamic faiths, the Peace Conference seeks to work in partnership with Christians, Jews, Muslims, and members of other religious traditions to advance the work of reconciliation and peace.
